Our story
It’s all about evangelism
Of course, internet radio is a much simpler method of broadcasting in our days, but my first gig in radio was with Beacon Radio 303 in Wolverhampton in 1977. Back then, studio equipment was gloriously clunky and brimming with character. From the record decks to the reel to reel tape machines, recording every minute of every programme for home office monitoring, it was state of the art in the ‘70s but it almost ended my future in radio before it began.
Two days into presenting a morning radio show, I was suddenly taken off air and summoned to see the programme controller. This was during the height of the troubles in Ireland and I had unwittingly played a recording of the song “Give Ireland back to the Irish.” The song had been released in 1972, immediately after the “Bloody Sunday” massacre and was banned by the BBC, independent radio stations and was heavily censored by the Home Office.
Fortunately for me, I didn’t lose my job. That same year, I gave my life to Christ and found that my experience and gifts in broadcasting and music were useful tools and transferable skills for the work in evangelism that God would call me to. After leaving Beacon Radio, I went on to set up a number of hospital and community Christian radio stations.
In 1979 I was sent out by the Baptist church, to share my faith in word and song in local schools and Christian fellowships. Later that same year, the church had recognised my calling as an evangelist and commissioned me to take my ministry nation wide. I also worked with Don Double and the Good News Crusade team and went on to missions in Africa and India.
Over the last decade, while working as hospital chaplain and a parish priest, I have set up internet Christian radio. I have done this because the Christian life is one of service and is all about evangelism, and reaching souls for Christ.

A short creed, held without compromise
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins; that He was raised from the dead so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life. We believe in the uncompromising Word of God and that all scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Our mission
Ministry too good to go unheard
There is a wealth of powerful, anointed local church and itinerant speakers you might never hear. However, Daily Focus Gospel Radio prides itself in actively seeking out this ministry for broadcast. This is as well as great ministry in some of the most anointed and well known speakers and Gospel artists.
Our mission is to fulfil the calling of God in preaching the gospel around the world (Matthew 28 verses 16 to 20). We also seek to passionately and fervently “encourage the saints”; as instructed by apostle Paul (1 Thessalonians 5:11); so that we may grow stronger in the faith to which we are called.
Pray for us
Above all, the most active way to support our radio ministry is to pray for us, not through a casual commitment but through daily, consistent intercession. This is the kind of prayer that moves mountains and in a world that is becoming increasingly intolerant of the gospel, we are always facing mountains.

Invest with us in the Kingdom of God
Jesus said “freely you have received, now freely give” (Matthew 10:8). We are called to to sow, invest for the much greater reward of eternal treasures and not for the earthly treasure of “pick pocket” prosperity teachers that will perish and spoil (Matthew 6 verses 19 to 21). The greatest investment is to see souls saved for Christ. This is the principle by which Daily Focus Gospel Radio works and it is in this same principle that we would ask you to invest with us for the kingdom of God.
Daily Focus Gospel Radio is run from a home studio and with the help of a small group of volunteers. This ensures that the freedom from any burden to find vast sums of money to maintain buildings and provide salaries. means that we can put any resources God provides into frontline services. In our determination to continue in this, we have also recently switched to to using a much more versatile platform with reduced costs for hosting, while enabling us to easily manage it ourselves.
However though we work on a small budget, we nevertheless operate a no compromise policy when it comes to the quality of our radio broadcasts. In fact, due to our hard work, our investment in studio equipment and streaming services, by God's grace we are equal to that of many other radio channels on a large budget. This nevertheless incurs some costs and we would be grateful if you could partner with us and make a donation that would enable us to reach our target of £900 per year.
Taking Music Back for the Gospel
I have been writing songs since I was 14 years of age and take my inspiration from the genre of indie, rock, jazz and blues, though I can on occasion, stray into a little country music. Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Van Morrison, Coldplay and Radiohead may seem worlds apart musically but listen closely and you will hear the crossover.
The sad thing for me is that much of this music was branded as secular and deemed inappropriate as a vehicle in which to carry a Christian message. But the truth is that “secular” suggests that there is a vacuous space that is void of God's power and influence. Its assertion has been a gift to the enemy as it has stifled a creativity in Christian music that might otherwise lead souls to Christ.
In our days, there is Christian music produced in just about every genre you can think. Of course lyrics and musical notes of itself is simply music for entertainment. However when they are empowered by the Holy Spirit, whatever the music genre, far from a compromise into the so called secular, this is taking music back for the Gospel that can potentially reach souls for Christ. It is with this in mind that I commit myself to a music ministry.

“Promote and share it on social media”
Following a complaint about the lyrics of a song I wrote,in a video I posted to Facebook, our rights to boost and advertise music or content related to the radio ministry, which includes associated products and services, has been permanently removed.
The song was a response in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd and the emergence of the “black lives matter” movement. In the song, I simply make the point that whatever our race, colour or creed, we must work together to eradicate racism.
It is a song with love, faith and and a call for harmony at its core. You can view and hear the song here. The restrictions on Facebook means that we need your help to promote our ministry through likes and shares on social media and this would be a great help to us.

My home studio is equipped with high end recording facilities which enables me to achieve music production to industry standards but at a fraction of the cost. Even after hiring session musicians, I can produce a song for as little as £500.
